Molly epitomises everything that an emerging generalist HR practitioner should be. She’s a people-centric relationship builder with a great understanding of the key HR issues across the business and an ability to balance her desire to do the “right thing” both for the business and our employees.
Molly builds trust and respect with whoever she works with and regularly provides advice and guidance to all levels of staff.
She is very open and honest about the areas she wants to develop in and actively seeks any opportunity she can to learn, working hard to achieve both her personal and career goals.
Curious, pro-active and driven to make a difference, Molly is a joy to work with – a truly valued member of the organisation, possessing all the positive traits and behaviours needed to ensure that our HR department has a solid foundation within the business, now and in the future.
Developing the Future Workforce (Inspire – Develop – Achieve)
Joining Bridgend College in 2017 as a HR Apprentice, Lucy has successfully juggled a busy fulltime work load, intensive learning schedule whilst studying for her Level 5 CIPD qualification and home life, while becoming an integral part of the HR team here at Bridgend College.
Although technically an apprentice in HR, if you were to observe Lucy in the office, you would not think so. She is a credible and effective member of the team and has naturally adapted to the needs of the role.
She has a keen eye for detail and understands the wider business context for the College, this means that she is able to identify areas of risk, for individuals, departments and the College as a whole. Lucy demonstrates a people‐centred approach. She does not shy away from having difficult or sensitive conversations, but does so with integrity, thoughtfulness and tact.
Without any doubt, Lucy is an asset to both the HR profession, and the College. She will go on to bigger and better roles, and we are proud to be part of her journey.
