Under Maggie’s leadership, the CIPD programme offering has continuously developed, achieving the highest approval ratings from the CIPD, who along with students, have recognised the exemplary standards of delivery.

Led by Maggie, transformative and innovative approaches to delivery practice have established a positive culture for learners, leading to the Business School postgraduate programmes now registering as first in the UK for student satisfaction and third in the UK for satisfaction with employability. As a leader, Maggie empowers her team, providing them with space and opportunities to fulfil their potential, her personalised but visionary approach to leadership encourages staff to thrive, not just survive.

Maggie is undoubtedly an inspiration to her students and staff as a lecturer, mentor and role model of the CIPD professional standards.

Michael Beynon

An exemplary leader, Mike has made a significant contribution to the safety of the public and the performance of the Justice Sector throughout the UK. Mike prides himself at listening and responding to his clients. In the past year, the innovative solutions he has delivered to support their challenges include full digitisation of the end-to-end recruitment process for the Cabinet Office and Ministry of Justice, online vetting, and online contracts – initiatives which have made significant contributions to reducing both time to hire and candidate drop outs.

He has also helped reduce prison officer attrition by developing on-boarding portals to assist them as they take up one of the most demanding roles in the public sector.

Clients regularly comment on the drive and energy always visible in him and his team and also the impressive scale of his operation delivering over 20,000 staff for all his clients annually. Mike is a leader who puts his people first – while he drives high levels of performance he never loses sight of the 200+ individuals he leads, for which he has earned their greatest respect.
