Fair, Engaging and Affordable – Conditions of Service at Trivalis

“Trivallis is a housing association that employs 497 people to manage almost 10,000 homes across Rhondda Cynon Taff. Following a recent rebrand and changes to the organisation’s legal structure and governance arrangements, four separate companies became one team, Trivallis.

Different contracts were in place for employees, resulting in disparate arrangements for conditions of service such as entitlement to sick pay and periods of annual leave. The whole organisation engaged in focus groups, team meetings and a fully integrated communications campaign. Staff and customers fed in to what they wanted to see from the new terms.

This project took place across twelve months. 100% of new contracts were returned within two months and £200,000 annual investment was secured to pay the voluntary living wage. 76% of staff recently surveyed said they feel their needs are met at Trivallis. Since last year, there has been a 12.8% increase in motivation recorded.”
